Chad Efird, M.D.

Chad hails from Joplin, Missouri and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Aakash Shah, M.D.

Aakash calls Gilbert, Arizona home and graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

Brock Wentz, M.D.

Brock obtained his medical training at the University of Nebraska. He did two years of general surgery before recognizing that bones were nicer to work with than intestines.

James W. Bogener, M.D

Jim is one of our own UMKC graduates. He and his family have a tradition of making hand-made brooms.

Timothy J. Juelson, M.D.

Tim hails from North Dakota. His wife is one of the pediatric residents at KU.

Matthew Poulsen, M.D.

Matt was born in Salt Lake City and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Gordon H. Stock, M.D.

Raised in Utah, Gordon went to Brigham Young University for his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and University of Utah for his M.D. He then did a surgical internship atDartmouth-Hitchcock  and a year of research with Dr. Vaccaro in Philadelphia before joining us as a PGY-2.

Jason Koreckij, M.D

Jason received his undergraduate training at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then entered the University of Missouri-Kansas City as an advance placement student to gain his M.D. He has a hobby of wood-working.

Jeffery Low, M.D.

Born in Rockford, IL, Jeff received his B.S in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and a M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Texas in San Antonio. He then went on for his M.D. from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Ricardo Molina, M.D.

Ricardo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and received his B.S. from the University of California - Los Angeles. He also has an M.S. in Physiological Sciences from that institution. He then went to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for his M.D. and then did a surgical internship at U.C.L.A Medical Center before joining us at UMKC.

 

Brian F. Wilson, M.D.

Brian is a graduate of our own UMKC. He then did a year of General Surgery here before he decided that he liked bones better and transfered to our program.

Courtney H. Couden, M.D.

Born in Midland, TX., Courtney started his undergraduate work at Midland College an completed his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech in Lubbock where he continued on for a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his M.D. from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

 

Stephen T. Olson, M.D.

Steve hails from Lima, Ohio. He is a graduate of Miami University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He was captain of University of Miami Rugby Team and was active in rugby throughout Medical School.

 

Adam W. Rives, M.D.

Originally from Hollywood, CA, Adam traversed the country for his undergraduate work at Bates College in Lewiston, ME. He then went south to Tulane for Medical School before joining us in the midwest.

 

Christopher Samujh, M.D.

Born in Suva, Fiji, Chris double majored at the University of Washington to obtain a B.S. in Architecture and a BS in Chemistry. He then went on for an M.D. at Drexel University. He did a PGY-1 year in General Surgery at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center before joining us in Orthopaedics.

Justin Barker, M.D.

Justin was born in New Orleans, did his undergraduate work at the University of Utah and then went back to New Orleans for medical School at Tulane.

Michael Johnson, M.D.

Mike hales from Tuttle, N.D. where he grew up on a ranch. He completed his undrgraduate work at Stanford University before going to UCLA for his medical degree.

 

Dorian Reid, M.D.

Dorian was raised in Brooklyn, New York and received her undergraduate dergree in Anthropology from Harvard University. She then went on to Tulane where she received her M.D. and a M.P.H.

 

Kiley E. Ziegler, M.D.

Born in Logan, Utah, Kiley received a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Wyoming. While in Wyoming, he gained significant experience as a builder of log houses. He went on to receive his medical education at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
